My Glasgow Kitchen

My Little Corner of the World

Piglet used to bring long beans from Malaysia to Glasgow. Unfortunately it does not last very long as some parts would be a bit mushy.  I actually used green beans to substitute long beans when I was in Glasgow as green beans were readily available.

Long beans are half price by weight here compared to French beans so I have been eating more of that.

Long beans are used in recipes such as fish curry, assam fish (tamarind fish), fried rice, dhal curry, pickled long beans (酸豆角)
